It looks delicious anyway.
I’ve never been, but my brother and a good cousin frequent a bit. They say its the busiest rural pub in the country.
Is that the one near the church?
I stepped in there the evening of a funeral.
I wouldn’t travel too far to indulge to be honest.
Tis in the village alright. A haven for drunk driving.
Bandit country.
I’ve never heard of the pub tbh
Great spot. A lovely little tour.
The Commercial is a funny one, it’s not in a great location in terms of footfalll but it seemed to click immediately on opening/reopening and has gained a very loyal following.
Daffys used to be some spot back in the day
Charlies is the perfect place to end. Joe would leave you until hes finished washing up with the door locked. Best pub in Limerick
Best barman in town
An absolute gent
@Malarkey I often park near Denis Doherty’s pub when in Kilkenny. Looks like a nice spot is it worth popping into for a pint?
Twas a rite of passage getting a pint in Tom Mahers back in the days when old Tom and the wife had it.
It sounds like a long closed hotel in a medium sized provincial town.
‘There were three hotels in the town at one stage…. The Commercial…. that’s now the Centra…’
Some nice photos of Tom around that room at the back of the place. A photo of a Waterford Cricket Club team from the 1930s also
It was originally a hotel, a very long time ago.
Right.
Brian Kerr has gone to shit.
Is it still men only?
