Eamonn Coughlan was at the Dáil committee earlier. Just saw a little clip on the news of him telling the IABA guy that he didn’t believe him that money wasn’t a factor. Eamonn, as usual, didn’t quite understand any of this.

whats this about Billy its not about the money Walsh missing the first couple of days of the world championship traing camp and getting the IABA to change his already booked flight out there so he could speak at some well paid corporate seminar with ronan o’gara that he had booked himself onto?

It’s a good tactic in fairness. One which I believe Rintintin often employed when following Aston Villa.
If they won, he’d be happy that they won, if they lost the blow would be softened by winning money. He’s loaded now.

The fact that people think betting against “ypur team” is wrong is a little silly. You bet to win.

However in his case or if i was directly involved with a team as a coach or player then that is wrong, more on a poor way of preperation level.
