Just a slight correction. The Muslim Brotherhood are not against divorce, and divorce is allowed in Islam. The MB are opposed to any change in divorce law which lessens the power of men to seek and get a divorce, under Sharia law this is accomplished by a husband by saying âI divorce youâ three times, no need for any silly paperwork.
No such luck if youâre a woman, and especially for women who have been raped, as spousal rape if not a crime under Sharia.
