I haven’t art. Would you recommend it? I’m spinning up from Strasbourg via Heidelberg and then I’m going into Luxembourg to find General Pattons grave.

Its a lovely place with a generally pleasant vibe. Plenty to see for a man of your experience: theres karl marx’ house, der dom (cathedral dating back to the 1100s) and plenty of roman ruins including porta negra. Plenty of nice walks along the moselle too and even up the hill to mariensaule and the waterfall

Food and drink wise theres plenty on offer and id recommend that you visot the weinhaus across the street from karl marx haus. They should still have the wine bootb in the marktplatz which sells regional wines by the glass. You should try the potato puffer and flamkucken if you get a chance.

Public transport is free in lux and @Piles_Hussain may be able to gove you directions to pattons grave

All free within the country but if you’re crossing a border or travelling first class you do need to pony up.
The american cemetery is what @Fagan_ODowd is looking for
Luxembourg American Cemetery | American Battle Monuments Commission (abmc.gov)
Outside the city but has parking so if you’re driving you’re grand.

You are supposed to look the other direction.

People love to stop there and look at the boats in the harbour.
