I'm a whiney bitch who can't drink for shit these days

I hate that , the thoughts that occupy your head in that moment and yet when you do eventually fall asleep and wake up the next day the mindset is totally different .

I can do that after no drink

My Garmin heart monitor readings tell a fairly stark tale in relation to the effects of the dhrink on the body.

It’s like the illogical deep worry bit of your brain is awake, but the logical bit which usually overrides it with reasoning isn’t.
I couldn’t finish a third pint on Sunday.
I actually don’t like not being able to have four or six pints and sleep well and awake unscathed.

Take a nytol when your after a few pints. Panned out for 8 hours. A bit groggy for a few mins after you wake up and then not a bother.

I’ve long come to the conclusion as a now relatively infrequent drinker that you are as well off have 8 or 10 pints rather than 4 or 5.

Starting having a few around lunchtime on hols here with lunch, pool in the afternoon another few at the pool bar, going back to the apartment getting ready for dinner another few at dinner is a game changer I’ve had no more than 6-7 over the day and ready for bed :sleeping_bed: then. Happy out.

I’ve found that as I’ve gotten into my late 30s the fear doesn’t hit me as much; maybe unknownst to myself I realise that there’s no point fretting over it all and just learn to be content with your lot.

It’s as bad as ever for me, but my job is stressful.

Luckily enough mine isn’t

Jesus lads, catch yourselves on ffs

I haven’t drank more than 4 pints in a decade. I wasted too much off my 20s at that game. I find it quenchs all ambition.

What use is ambition anyway?

@farmerinthecity started too early in the day,I hate having a few in the afternoon and being home at 7 or 8.Its too early, you need to be home at 10 and into bed.

Yeah - I’d often find if even I had three or four in the afternoon I’d be antsy as fuck that night

Twas one thing I could never handle, drinking, stopping for a few hours, then going again.

Anything over a couple of pints during the day, then i wouldn’t budge that evening. At this hour of my life, 6 -10 is the prime drinking window.

I try to be relatively sober when going to bed. The problem on Sunday was that I drank too many pints!

That’s your problem there lad.

The man likes to be sober for the riding, go easy.

The golden hours - out early, home early
