I'm a whiney bitch who can't drink for shit these days

Thanks. Signing in.

Good to see you enjoying the long weekend pal.

Bumped for @Horsebox

That is a good brisk pace.

I had bottles of Carlsburg watching the Lions Game and then three more pints watching the United Chelsea match in Club Wembley followed by two bottles of Rekorderling with my dinner. A quick snooze on the train and I was right as rain when I got home circa 10:30pm

Sounds like a lovely day.

It was, pal. I will be going again next year, regardless whether my beloved Lions are there or not. I highly recommend it. Well worth paying the extra few quid for the premium tickets. Great atmosphere and an unlikely come from behind win for the Lions.

The only real negative is that the NFL seems to attract quite a high proportion of saddos, the biggest one I saw was a lad around balding lad around 30 years of age who had a Miami Dolphins jersey on him along with a pair of luminous green American football wide receiver gloves on him.

I’ve already told herself that I want tickets to one of next years games for my birthday. Where’d you get your hands on the premium tickets?

Ticketmaster. It was £120 for Club Wembley tickets or £100 for General tickets. Was in section 247 which is in the corner but had an excellent view of the whole pitch

What’s wembley like?

Very good, easy to get in and out of and an excellent view from where I was sitting

Is there much of a gap between the pitch and the stands? I hate grounds with a running track, or too much of a distance. The closer to the pitch the better.

Round 2, ding ding. :pint::pint::pint::pint::pint::pint::pint::pint::pint:

Some amount of fucking women on here. Stick to your Babychams in future darlings.

I would agree with that puke

Whilst on international business last year in a well-documented semiconductor corporation merger that took me to Tx and the bay area I attended 2 games of American football (both recorded in the international business thread)

I went to one NCAA game between 2 low ranking colleges (or schools FFS) between Rice and Florida Atlantic, this was my first ever game, I guess what struck me was the total lack of continuity of the proceedings, this then gives the need for much retarded, inoffensive, sideshow type entertainment such as members of the audience watching the big screen where the home team do karaoke and the fans need to guess the song, saluting veterans, pictures of fans in the crowd( the yanks love getting on the big screen), a ridiculous marching band, an obsession with eating crap, dancing competitions between fans and competitions for free pizza, we got in at 6 and it was done by 10, that’s 4 hours for a game that lasts 60 mins, its definitely a place where families can just take the kids , I guess its like sitting at home to watch x factor, tickets are cheap and there is so much going on apart from the game, plus getting excited about a game involving universities is idioic

The NFL game then I went to between Houston and Seattle was really much the same instead there was 80k people there and the tickets cost 200 USD, I would actually say this was more farcical and the view we had for the seats was very poor. the level of freak there was outstanding, there were lads wearing actual helmets, its a bit like seeing a roaster child from tipperary walking around dublin with a hurley in his paw and his jersey on before a match excpet these were grown men

All in all, it was nice to see but I definitely wouldn’t go back, there is no way people are there just for the game, it’s a family day out, or a day for drinking or what not for lads,

Surprisingly ok considering the weekend I’ve had, buddy although relations in the Horsebox household are frosty to say the least. Went and watched a bit of the marathon, got some fresh air and being around norms seems to have had a positive effect on my outlook. Plus I’m off tomorrow and have a nice bottle of red to look forward to this evening so life is not too bad.

Lemonade or wine?

Haven’t touched a drop in 3 weeks, no smokes or personal in 3 weeks either. I don’t feel any benefits yet.
