Just strutted home in the glorious evening sun after a very productive day of #business meetings. Listened to Columbia, Supersonic and Slide Away by Oasis in that order and walked with my feet in a “ten to two” position (I can do that again since hip surgery) with my shoulders back, chin pointed out and hands behind my back. I’m on top of the world.

I’m having a mediocre coffee in the Aer Lingus lounge at Terminal 2, Dublin Airport and I’m shortly boarding flight EI105 to JFK.
I have a pretty incredible few days lined up. Highlights include:
- a visit to the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria to see the Mad Men exhibit. In a addition to a load of memorabilia they have Draper’s office and the Draper family kitchen from Ossining on show.
- dinner and drinks with senior management, former colleagues and friends from my employer’s New York office who will no doubt spend the evening trying to convince me to come back and work for/with them again.
- then to top it all off - a wonderful day of sport to watch on Saturday to whilst having a few beers. It’s been labelled as the biggest day in the history of sport in some quarters (underselling it if you ask me). We have the Red Sox vs Yankees, the Kentucky Derby, Mayweather vs Pacquiao and the biggest one of all - rounds 5 through 7 of the NFL draft.
I’m on top of the world.
