This country has a serious long term sectarian problem that will keep it divided. Thanks to SF and their supporters for this regressive state we’re in.

Irish people have gone the way of Trump and Brexit & engaged in increasing culture wars style politics.
I have a lot of sympathy for the women athletes being brought into this. A simple apology is fine- sadly the reaction in the U.K. (OTT annoyance) and large sections of Irish society (let’s download the Wolfe Tones and double down on IRAoke) has made this a bigger deal than it needed to be. It won’t be forgotten amongst the people who are needed to be convinced of a United Ireland.

I wouldn’t vote for them myself but understand why some would.
When FFG are consistently not delivering and bullshitting yet hardly held to account over it, then the target of the establishment opprobrium will inevitably benefit .
Look over there SF stopped working a few years ago as a deflection over health and housing yet it’s still the defence trotted out.
If they turn out as bad as I fear they will then it’s on varadkar and his ilk.
