He was having a go at the legal profession for not turning up and doing their duty. They are well able to give high-minded talk about constitutional rights of the accused when they can charge for every appearance

Itās pretty straightforward reporting and speak, what exactly drew out your ire?
Iām aware of the differences between the legal eagles and their employer but to answer your question I was immediately drawn to the judges stern wording and the implication that the accused was somehow the unlucky guy just caught up in the whole thing.
Iām familiar with the innocent till proven guilty concept but Iām also aware that the accused ( more than likely) ended this ladyās life in a fairly traumatic fashion from reports. No doubt but the accused will plead not guilty and a 3 week trial will ensue paid for by (1 guess) 
Iād be curious as to what the stateās free legal aid bill is on an annual basis.
Judge Andrew Cody is a bit of a looper though. Heās the lad who had his knuckles rapped by the High Court because he struck out a load of speeding fines because he didnāt like where the speed van was set up.
