Where is Keezer?
he had a bad season for injuries. There is no Australian based Irish player in the squad for whatever reason.
with regards to the advantages/disadvantages, there is also 15 players (3 less than an AFL team) and the pitch is a factor. Whilst yes, there is less space so easier to tackle, the Aussies would generally be fitter and a bigger pitch would suit a fitter team. The interchange is in favour of the Aussies too. They know how to utilise it best and work it to an advantage in terms of impact on the game in fitness and tactics. There are little or no ball ups either, so that would suit the GAA player, as it would be a clearly defined playing role and tactical role for players in AFL which they would take more advantage of.
On Clonliffe Road last I saw him.
On an Autumn day?
Is it still Autumn? Then yes. He was wearing the tracksuit and carrying his bag from the International Rules actually now that I think of it.
no Australian based players allowed play. makes a joke of it. Aussies conspiring.
big pitch would suit a kicking team, which Ireland should be.
Croke Park expected to be only half full for this yoke Saturday. Time to put an end to it.
it might sound pretty simple but Aussies have a massive advantage in that they are always anticipating kicking just enough for the mark to be called…its not a mindset that comes natural to the Irish as its not in our game…We seem to have a tendency to kick longer to try and get it…
If they 40,000 in for this then it shows the power of proper marketing and advertising. I would have guessed 25,000 max after the farce a few years ago when they sent over the indigenous team
Think it was 20 odd a few years ago alright. I also think you need to take the 40k figure with a pinch of salt as they are most likely factoring in walk ups which are far from guaranteed given the weather forecast. Not to mention the deals they rushed out to clubs underage this week along with the 5er tickets in the Cusack. All in all this should be put down. I might head along for the Shinty and head home after that.
I was thinking they’d sold fuck all tickets when I saw GAA tweeting those special offers. Is it on TG4 again?
RTE2 live preceded by the shinty
