Does anybody ever watch this?

I usually have Sky Sports News on in the mornings when I’m having my cup of tea and banana but our satellite channels went down last week and I switched over to Ireland AM.

Now I’m hooked. It’s fantastic stuff with Alan Hughes, Aidan Cooney and Elaine Crowley joined by the likes of Noel Cunningham, Entertainment Correspondent, with Jenny Bastible reading the news and Dennis Kirwan the sport.

The entertainment section with Alan and Noel was tremendous last week with Jessie Wallace’s wedding day walk-out getting an airing. The shrieking and wailing of the two of them and their facial expressions were priceless.

How Aidan Cooney has managed to wangle a lengthy TV career for himself is one of life’s mysteries.

One thing though though, Bando. Don’t TV3 and 3e both have morning shows on at the same time? Is this not a little bit stupid?

I prefer to wile away the mornings listening to ‘Limerick today with Joe Nash’.

I like it when Alan goes cooking or when Pete the vet is on. Mark Cagney is a bit of a prick though.

I’d say Cagney is some kind of deviant. I’m not sure which sort but he has the look of one.

I missed it today as i was otherwise engaged. Joe probaby wouldn’t have mentioned it as he discusses more pressing matters such as the controlled explosion that was carried out in Kilmallock. He leaves the gaa to Liam Ahearne.

I also haven’t seen Cagney on Ireland AM yet. Has he been away on holidays? I just assumed he wasn’t on the show any more.

On 3e you’ve The Morning Show with Sybil and Martin, and it clashes with the last hour of Ireland AM.

Which doesn’t sound like very sensible scheduling to me.
