Representing your country should be enough. A share of the gate money and some decent kit also.
A reasonable hotel when travelling is hardly too much to ask.

The other demands are fair enough, but the appearance fee isnt. If they demand payment, then a share of the gate money would seem reasonable. If they really want to be treated as professionals that is.
As an aside, I see thar the delightful young lady who spent half an hour helping me push my car has been named as the England goalkeeper. She has Roscommon family, and a desire to play gaelic football.

FAI are a joke. Even with the boys.
Serious problems at all levels with them taking boys from clubs who are declared not fit (but national side has medical final say) and players almost always being declared fit. One such incident was a grade 2 hamstring tear. Its believed pressure from manager and threats to physio (who must be a weak cunt) about her job were the key to this decision.
In one case this relationship or lack of was a key factor in an Irish player being let go from a championship academy last year.

And Ireland are the only one’s doing it? That’s common enough in most sports i’d imagine… managers are on bucks and pressure to get results

And putting a young fellas career in doubt shows what a race to the bottom it is.
This is not an absolute statement as there are some good ones, but those involved in FAI Coaching are coming from a very low base and politics is miles ahead of ability in terms of appointmenrs.
This was u16 or 17. Boy was only on a temp contract to allow for schooling in Ireland. One of his club coaches who i know believed it was a defining factor.
