Zappone statement seems a bit vague and lacking in detail. Unless she is avoiding throwing somebody under a bus then she is a goner.

C) Government aware of it
D) Government sanctioned it
A seems true
B might be true
C again might be true but recently
D unlikely surely
In the past we have had Government ministers sanction illegal activity against the equivalent of whistleblowers. Why wouldnât it happen again?

What is the status of the Garda that McCabe made the complaint against in 2006? Is anything known about this? Is he still with the force?
What, if any relationship, does that Garda have with the TUSLA counsellor who spoke to that Gardaâs daughter in 2013, given that this meeting would have taken place in the same general geographical area as where the Garda lived?
Did TUSLA not only come into being on January 1st, 2014?
