Ireland politics (Part 1)

And your point is?

And just as Minister Varadkar makes his big announcement, Thomas Hitzelsperger turns up on Goals on Sunday.

has he actually done anything of note?

i know he was in the friends of Israel group which says a lot about him being a cunt

not a coincidence

Der hammer (takes on a totally different connotation now)

Fine Gael are in the process of trying to push Varadkar aside, the old boys club that Kenny has embedded together don’t like him so they gave him the hospital pass of the health portfolio. He’s slowly been trying to piece a plan together in spite of what the leadership will let him do and this could be a good political move to get people on his side. As @Bandage said he’s the best of a bad lot but he’s one of the few that at least comes across as having a few brain cells and being honest in his interviews.

I used to really dislike him but in the past 6 months I’ve come to a similar conclusion to the above. That’s a serious endorsement for him.

Fair play to him.

bizarre post

because he comes across as intelligent we should give him a pass for his thatcherite economics and neo con foreign policy, we should actually detest him more

mac and runt have gone from parish pump politics to image politice without any care for actual policies

What was his foreign policy mate? I don’t really follow politics.

I think Varadkar is an honest, intelligent and capable politician which seems a rare mix these days in Ireland where we still have a majority of gombeens running things.

Agree with you @Tess Tickle. He gives his honest point of view far more often than not and the man lives and breathes politics. He’s a friend of a friend of the brother so I’ve known he’s gay for a while now. Not that it’s a big deal but better out than not.
Move on now, nothing to see here

Good man Leo.

He promoted The Gathering beautifully and brought my beloved Fighting Irish of Notre Dame to Aviva Stadium a couple of years ago.

he supports the Israeli occupation of Palestine
he is firmly behind the neo classical school of economics

in short an absolute fud but hey, his media image appeals to you so hey, fire ahead with your love for him

I’m glad I have your full backing buddy

Correct. But I am completely against his policies. @The Selfish Giant has nailed this one.

Varadkar is a cunt.
