Ireland politics (Part 1)

Freakonomics has this as of its theories. That abortion legislation in the 70s was one of key drivers for declining crime rates in the 90s

we are still waiting on your figures you bullshiting bastard

The thing is abortion wont have any impact on this. Just look at all these women getting knocked up when they are homeless. Same as the women in direct provision having a couples of sprogs. Kids are handy when youre looking for a gaff. Never mind the shit life they are being born into. Anyway most of the women involved in the repeal movement are middle and upper class sorts. Its not an economic decision for them but they are happy to speak for the poor. Personally I think we should just let the women fight it out amongst themselves. Headwreckers from both sides are going to be screaming at each other for the next eight months. its going to be hard to ignore.

Are David Quinn and the Bishops women?

I wouldnt think so no.

They’ll be amongst the loudest screamers.

Well the Bishops wear dresses, so close enough.

Michael healy-rae on pat Kenny talking about rural broadband. Michelle Mulhern currently waffling away stuttering her way through her answer.

I wonder how many of the sluts he rode bareback round Limerick back in the day ended up having abortions? Maybe he could start with those statistics and then move onto the number of poor little @ChocolateMice mouses there are running round Limerick without a daddy.

who’s on our side in the Irish media mate?

You would lose your job if you go up against these people. The mob would destroy you, they would go after your career and you’re livelihood. They are desperate bastards.

Who are these people?

Assume he is referring to the Cris Donohue types, calling for people to be fired etc for not towing the line. Loads of them.

Ah right. Those fuckers. Thank fuck that mangina chris didn’t get a slot back on air.

Would expect Colm O’Gorman to figure prominently for the pro abortion side.

The screaming mullallys

Probably the most disturbing post I’ve read on here, and that’s saying something.

A very valid point though.

Speaking of screaming mullallys, ruth coppinger on the tonight show.

If you are to believe certain economists, it was the new availability of abortions and not zero tolerance by police or whatever that dramatically altered crime statistics downwards in the early 90s US. (New York being the most famous example) Essentially a pool of criminals was never born, which can occur If you legalize abortion and change policy so there’s no incentive to having kids by them not being a source of income. Will society not benefit from families who are financially and otherwise prepared to properly raise children having them, instead of sharon and deano having 6 kids, one of whom might work in tesco for their lives but the rest of whom will be on welfare or in prison?

Regarding the referendum, I think women alone should be allowed vote on it. The thoughts of male snowflakes shrieking about this for a year trying to out do each other with feigned empathy on social media is disconcerting.
