Ireland politics (Part 1)

Lads arguing over who has more dealings with criminals SF, FG or FF is fucking hilarious.

When will people actually read some policies and move on from the Civil War to see that the Social Democrats and Green Party are the way to go.

And to think some of you count yourselves as educated.

For shame.

I find that policy to be the most bizarre.

The fucking green party :joy:

We tried them once and they somehow managed to do more damage to the environment than any Irish party in history

The only pollutant that they neglected to avoid was FF. When you look at their policies they make more sense than most of the rest - bar the Social Democrats.

That and diesel

Banning diesel in Ireland would be like trying to ban Guinness :joy:

Again, you don’t like it when the shoe is on the other foot. Screeching about Blueshirts but getting upset by mentions of balaclavas.

By all means reference Bertie Aherne’s missing bank accounts, planning corruption of the big two parties or whatever from the not so distant past.

But don’t be surprised if your dirty laundry is brought up. I personally put murder and apologists for murder into a worse column than the others but I guess everyone is different.

Now here’s a bizarre policy - sending debt collectors after cancer patients.

The Soc Dems are just another Democratic Left imo. Fair enough if you’re more left leaning, I’m not. People voting for People Before Profit or the Soc Dems, more power to them.

now I know youre taking the piss

Ah they’re nothing like them. The Democratic Left was a crowd of communists that were so bereft of ideas that they kept changing their party name until they inevitably merged with Labour.

The Social Democrats rain with the follow ideals in 2016:

The party’s manifesto for the 2016 general election listed commitments to “three core areas”:

  • Policies that support a healthy, inclusive and progressive society.
  • Policies that ensure a strong, stable and vibrant economy, and support Ireland’s SMEs with the same vigour that’s applied to the multinational sector
  • Policies that make politics and government more transparent and responsive to public, rather than party need.

Not with the policies that they ran with in the last election, bar lowering the voting age. I’ll review again before the next election.

When was I screeching about Blueshirts bar the odd barb? And am I the leader of the country?

Eamonn Ryan’s headline policy was to list the Heineken Cup as a protected sporting event for Free to Air so himself and his son could watch.

Double

Triple

Site is messed up

You’d worry about the ability of any political party to make the hard choices required in government when they can’t even agree on one person as leader. They’re the sort of “everyone gets a gold medal” money tree merchants that are best suited to permanent opposition, twitter and Fintan O’Toole’s wet dreams.

Jesus wept.

He probably needed to the relaxed and refreshed when he arrived so he could hit the ground running. At least it was only one ticket and he wasn’t bringing the wife and kids along as well.
