Ireland politics (Part 1)

Was Grealish being racist or just stupid when he told a public meeting in his constituency that people that would be housed in a planned direct provisions centre there would be economic migrants from Africa who are spongers?

The Greeks and Irish are still paying for their politiciansā€™ lies. Youā€™re the one still believing the lies.

See your posts above, Iā€™ve referred to them already.

No you havenā€™t actually.

I didnā€™t make any bigoted statement.

Thatā€™s racist ā€” and iā€™ve no issue calling it out as racism.

See with the other guys, itā€™s very black and white (pun - no need to get offended).

You declare an opposing opinion on something where there may be racism and that they have jumped on, then they assume you are racist forever more.

And in your case, you used to volunteer to help out travellers.

Pretty fucking pathetic.

Thereā€™s a good TNH Joe Brolly scĆ©al in the middle of it

You defended Grealish, whose comments were evidently racist, and launched in on Coppinger with a bizarre attack, presumably because you have a preconceived views on her. Both of those meet the test. You then got all pissy and called me a woman, which apparently you meant as an insult. So thatā€™s more of it.

Youā€™ve made a fair fool of yourself at this stage.

But singling out money to transfers from Nigeria and suggesting it may have been illegally gained is not racist?

What?

Where is the bigoted bit in that?

The woman comment was clearly in jest. It says a lot that you chose to get offended by it.

Do you understand the meaning of the word?

He mentioned the top 5 - Nigeria happened to be the biggest and the only one outside the EU - of course, there may have been a bit of devilā€™s advocate at play - but heā€™s right to question how money leaves Ireland - in this case, he should have done his homework as his numbers appear to be way off.

I do.

But you brought it up, and its a fairly nasty comment to throw around, so perhaps you answer my question on the fourth attempt?

Youā€™re the one needs to do their homework. Defending a known racist like Grealish and then going crying when you get called out on it.

Weā€™ll try another example for you so. So your bigoted comment was ā€œclearly in jestā€. Do you think itā€™s ok to make racist jokes if they are clearly in jest too? What if we replaced the world woman with the n word? Would that be grand?

Iā€™m not defending anyone - iā€™m saying he is perfectly right to question how money leaves Ireland -

Who knew this guy would be such a figurehead for the disaffected youth of our country. A flag bearer for truth giving a voice to the hithero voiceless. A modern day Irish hero

Is there something wrong with asking how money leaves the country and how that money may be earned?

He singled out Nigeria first and then questioned whether the money was legal.

You probably are going to deny that because youā€™ve dug in deep here.

Go hope and have a mug of tae for yourself there like a good lad
