Ireland politics (Part 1)

He might be right but it all happened on his watch. He let the clowns have a free hand, its alright him blaming them but where was the oversight from the government.

I would love to see Bertie vs Enda in the Dail. I know Bertie use to make a show of Enda when Enda was opposition leader so I would love to see what it would be like with Bertie as the opposition leader.

As long as we restricted access to the footage, the two stuttering gimps would make a show of us on the international front. Oh waitā€¦

700 pages of bullshit. Corruptness, cronyism and incompetenceā€¦ yet the electorate keep falling for the lies every 5 years.

Dr Liam Twomey, Fine Gael TD for Wexford, has announced he wonā€™t be standing at the next election. His list of political achievements is as follows:

Can we just skip the election and make Noonan our supreme leader?

Tom McEllistrim held a seat for Kerry North for two terms (a seat he inherited from his father, Tom McEllistrim, who inherited the seat from his father, Tom McEllistrim).

The joke goes that the only time he ever spoke in the dail was to ask to have the door closed as there was a draft coming in.

How much of a pension will this cunt get? Canvassed all about the power of independent voice and then went running to the Fine Gael teet when it came calling. Still practised as a doctor while a TD I believe.

Things were fine when Bertie was in charge.

Iā€™m going to start a Bring Back Bertie campaign. Or BBB if you will.
Iā€™ll be organising a BBBBBBQ the extra B is for BYOBB, that extra B is a typo.

You only need two confirmed miracles to be a saint. Michael Noonan is the messiah

Donā€™t be so grim mate. Our GDP per capita is back around 05 levels, no one was too sad then.

Is that because half the population have left since then?

Our population hasnā€™t been this high since the famine and not once in recent years has it dipped below growth. Next

Relax, mate. Iā€™m just asking - what are the real factors behind it?? It seems to me that the recent glut of jobs are all high end tech/science that we simply donā€™t have the skilled workforce for and a lot them foreign lads are coming in taking are jabsā€¦ At the other end a lot of people are doing jobs bridge and working for minimum wage and barely survivingā€¦ whatā€™s the real story, bud?

Of course we werenā€™t everyone I know was in college then having a great time you fuckin eejit.

MMR jabs is it?

Thereā€™s probably an element of truth in the high-end job thing and also that itā€™s pretty Dublin-centric. However, every one of those jobs is additional tax take to pay for social services and infrastructure and then there is the knock on effects of spending which feeds into construction, retail, hospitality and the jobs from them etc i.e. increased economic activity raises all boats.

In other words, while its not ideal for every person its still better than if it wasnā€™t happening and a damn sight better than circa 2009.

Are flegs and are jabs.

I think youā€™re an optimist.Thatā€™s not a bad thingā€¦
