Ireland politics (Part 1)

Congratulations pal.

To be involved in 3 separate election campaigns in Fingal over the years and to bring home a seat for a different party each time is a fantastic achievement.

Beir bua.

Fine Gael have made some show of themselves in Wexford between the thick racist piece of shit running for them and this cunt Charlie Flanagan defending her. Read the twitter thread.

Mark Ward (SF) has pulled out to around 1,500 ahead of Emer Higgins (FG) with Paul Gogarty around a further 900 behind

On transfers, Tuffy (Lab) should be good for Higgins while Kavanagh (Green) will be good for Gogarty

Then Francis Timmons should add a good whack onto Ward’s vote

Then there’s FF transfers and whoever loses out between Higgins and Gogarty

If Gogarty gets ahead of Higgins, he could pip Ward to the seat

Very interesting race

The way SF got out the vote for Mark Ward in Neilstown and Clondalkin in a by-election that very few people were talking about, at the end of November, when people are not naturally inclined to want to go out and vote, shows the importance of a good ground game

Few people saw this performance coming

Hopefully has positive implications for what Momentum can do for Labour in Britain

The O’Broin factor. The SF Politburo/Army Council may regret having picked Vol. McDonald…

O’Broin is a very shrewd operator.Himself and Pearse would make a great team.

Isn’t that what you do during elections.

Ward 1,246 ahead of Higgins after Count 6 after the distribution of Lab and Green transfers

The gap between Higgins and Gogarty has closed to 631

I can see Gogarty getting ahead of Higgins to challenge Ward

Timmons’s transfers up next and I imagine they will favour Ward heavily

Ward has been elected

2 SF, 1 PBP and 1 FF now in Dublin Mid West

Either Ward or Gino Kenny will lose out in the general because FG and FF will definitely get a seat each

The Ramsgrange challenge is over. Verona eliminated 71 votes behind George Lawlor. Malcolm has a lead of 3,822 with 10,907 Fine Gael transfers to come. Will tighten up a good bit but Malcolm should edge it.

Wexford people seem a lovely bunch.

Malcolm Byrne doesn’t seem like a bad lad for a Fianna Failer. Definitely the lesser of two evils compared to Verona Murphy anyway. Creditable performance by George Lawlor and good to finish ahead of Murphy.

+1.

He had a good campaign video in recent days setting himself up in opposition to the racist dog whistling of Verona Murphy, he came across well enough in it

Good to see Labour putting in a solid performance

SF haven’t taken Cork North Central but notched a solid second place finish ahead of FG

Announcement in Fingal at 8.30

Fair play to Malcolm. He might be part of FF but is a thoroughly decent honest lad. A hard worker who deserves this. I’d say he’ll struggle to hold onto the seat in the next general election so hopefully he actually makes use of this now to show how useless the rest of the Wexford cunts are.

What the fuck were FG thinking putting that wagon forward.

Malcolm wins by 4,354. Actually got more than Lawlor from Verona.
