Ireland politics (Part 1)

Certainly would be a different ending to those nights.

Everytime Donnelly emerges into public view, I lose a little more respect for McKinsey

He’s a bollox and a dinosaur.

How’s he a bollocks, just because he’s anti-abortion?

He’s a mouthy bollox that constantly breaks ranks with government and party and takes a regressive view on any issue he can be presented with.

He is exactly what I was talking about the other day when I said that FF are clinging on to the backward arsed socially conservative bollox types for the now while the try to stay alive. Martin needs the likes of o Cuiv to maintain FFs current support among that constituency. They need those votes now but if you try to build a party to cater for those types you’re signing your own death warrant. FF need to maintain those votes for now while on top they try to look progressive and modern and try to win back other voters. They are stuck riding two horses.

O’Cuiv is getting a bit of the Bill Coopers here. Better in his absence than his presence

O’Cuiv never given a ministry? He was a Member of Cabinet from after the 2002 General Election all the way up to the 2011 General Election.

Sorry I thought that’s what another poster said.

I don’t understand how Irish politics works. Drug addled Gino Kenny draws up an oireachtas Bill proposing the legalisation of euthanasia in Ireland. Hardly a pressing concern of the majority of his supporters in West Dublin. Do NGO’s write up these bills and pay him to support it in the dail or how does it work?

A politician not acting purely in his own self interest can be a bit confusing alright.

There was a Dublin woman (who I assume is in his constituency) who was charged with assisting the suicide of her friend. I’d imagine she was the one driving it.

Vicky Phelan has been in media last few days campaigning for it.

FF need to skip a generation and let Jack Chambers take the reigns

Most of the time lads give out about TDs and parish-pump politics

So on one side we lockdown the country to protect old people’s lives and then on the other we start talking about legislation to legalise killing them? Explain that to me.

If OCuiv had his way , we’d all be taking iodine tablets to fight the virus.

Leo meets his admiring fans.

When are these gobshites going to learn that doing something like that is not going to help their cause, all it is going to do is generate sympathy and support for Varadkar.
