fuck sake- they campaigned to go back in with them

H’on Ming!

@Fagan_ODowd, I hope John Halligan has gotten a good deal for Waterford. They didn’t do so well during the previous administration.

Did you see the footage of Joan leaving the chamber? We walked past enda and didn’t even acknowledge him.

That’s putting it mildly. Phil Hogan and Brendan Howlin nearly hollowed us out completely. But it’s our own fault continually electing the worst tds in the Dail.

I wouldn’t be getting too excited. They probably cut the hours in the hospital.

Has Maria Cahill been fucked out of the Seanad yet?

Peter McVerry bigging up Alan Kelly on rte about his vision for housing.

Fucking hell, hasn’t she had enough abuse without them taking go’s on her in the Seanad

Simon Harris’ public statements on abortion:

I think someone can be pro-life and support a change in the law to allow for terminations in the case of fatal foetal abnormalities .

It’s not a black and white situation. There is a very mixed message amongst the pro choice crowd. Some of them want a free for all, others would have a more reserved position. Labour have said they want a UK style system, which is basically a free for all.

Not really. It’s a “free for all” before 12 weeks. Baroness warnock produced the seminal (apologies) advice to govt that in her opinion there were no features of human life in an embryo even at 14 weeks, so she knocked a couple of weeks off this. After that it needs the input of a doctor I think.
I am neutral on the issue, having been black and white Catholic guilt I have drifted toward her position. It is utterly wrong that women have to travel. It’s a cowardly, classically Irish solution.

Abortions for some miniature American flags for everyone.

I don’t see any major contradiction in his views btw. Pro life and allowing abortion in fatal foetal abnormalities would be consistent. What the the abnormalities being fatal and all.

Debate about what the left really is in the week in politics there. Poor enough fare. Most interesting bit was coppinger trying to avoid the question of whether sf are properly left wing.

So the government is a couple of weeks old and this O’Higgins report has them circling the wagons already.

The Irish Examiner are really doing a number on the Garda commissioner

http://www.irishexaminer.com/viewpoints/columnists/michael-clifford/noirin-osullivan-leaves-key-questions-unanswered-399883.html

The new look FF and Labour were out this morning on Newstalk, Burton saying that the Commissioner is wrong not to answer the questions and FF attempting to sweep it under the carpet. No one from FG was on. Are FG getting FF to do their clean up work.

Oh how things have changed.

Burton has no shame

None of them have any shame.

Fianna Fail acting as Fine Gaels mud guard.

Interesting start to life as a Super Junior for Finian McGrath too.

A lot of these independent guffbuckets are going to be found out fairly sharpish.
