O’Brien didn’t think there was two FF seats in the constituency so apparently didn’t do anything to help Lorraine Clifford Lee’s bid for the by election that time when Claire Daly gave up her seat for Europe. Her husband is John Lee, IMOS political editor, and it must be coincidental that there’s regularly critical pieces about him specifically in the paper. They also give up space to Eoin O’Broin to write regular columns critiquing O’Brien’s performance in his role.
