Ireland politics (Part 2)

She’s been a pop star and runs a small business. That’s a fair bit of lived experience and she has three kids.

We’ll give her health. She can run it from 4-6, after she’s fed the kids and before she teaches dance.

Good one :+1:

No I was just laughing at you.

That’s because you have a low IQ. It’s normal.

She got the nod over Nadine once upon a time. That’s an impressive electoral record right there already

So young women with children shouldn’t be in politics- is that what you are saying?

Plenty of Thomas Bradys out there.

I’m saying young people in general shouldn’t. Yes . Whether they have a fanny or not.

We need to turn the system upside down and have people who have been experts in their field for a couple of decades running the country.

These career politicians achieve nothing. They self preserve, they lie, they promise and they blame external factors for their failures. The world has moved on from the 19th century concept of politics that we elect by… Teachers, youn mums, crusty student union types making decisions for a country in an age when nearly 70- 80% of our problems are tech/ economic/ health… And we expect results?

I’d rather engineers , technicians, economists, health professionals (parents or otherwise) with an exceptional career over a few decades to be making decisions for the country.

The do gooder young mums and teachers can sit on local boards .

So you want Tony Holohan as Taoiseach.

Murdering people kinda would rule him out… I said exceptional, not continued failure :person_shrugging:t2:

You were a Sinn Fein member. :joy:

Correct.

At the time i believed, then i grew and changed my mind.

Lived experience.

Maybe i should be running the country?

Isn’t that the scammer linked to FG that was spreading disinformation during Covid?

Responsible for the deaths of a number of young women in another scandal also.

You “grew” and “changed your mind” to accusing decent public servants of murder and piling on young women entering politics.

You’re a very dangerous person.

Tony Holohan played a key part in the smear scandal that lead to the death of a number of people.

I laid out my grounds on why young people shouldn’t be making political decisions. You can try spin it as misogyny and all the rest but that’s just a lie.

It’s rich calling me dangerous :joy:. You’re the biggest header on the form by s distance. Everyone knows it.

Nobody has to spin anything you say as misogyny, because it is misogyny, and the view of a headbanger, to go with your headbanging views on pretty much every other subject.

The history of this country doesn’t bear this out. Renowned economist Dr Martin O’Donoghue destroyed this country almost single-handedly in the 1970s, for example.

I’d hope we’ve moved on from the 70s and put better systems in place… Career politics doesn’t work. We all know it but we continue with the charade.

This is very vague. Could you explain the Cervical Check story in, say, 500 words? And which women died because of Tony Holohan’s actions?
