Ireland politics (Part 2)

No and heā€™s been whining that heā€™s sick of been asked about it.

Fianna FƔil will get most seats.

Absolutely loving the attention. Sure he was on there somewhere saying it was his decision and his alone. Heā€™s actually not the all out worst of them but thereā€™s something desperately nerdy needy and cuntish about him at the same time.

Whoā€™s paying attention other than boring political hacks who donā€™t have the imagination to write about anything else other than the date of an election? Pretty much nobody

People with kids who want to know what day the school will be closed

3rd school closure of the year for elections.

Iā€™m absolutely seething*.

*Iā€™m not seething but schools shouldnā€™t be closed for voting in this day & age.

December 8th

Be great if you said ā€˜i didnā€™t think of that I donā€™t know everythingā€™

December 8th is a Sunday mate, the schools will be closed that day.

I havenā€™t a clue whether they still close when December 8th is a weekday.

Think of it as a chance to spend more quality time with the young lads. Make a day of it.

Harris is playing this beautifully

The cunt really does go out of his way to try to sound presidential. The taoiseach usually tries to make everything sound like decision by consensus to cover his arse.

We said this very point to MicheĆ”l Martin when he came canvassing at for the local elections. We were answering the ā€œand is there anything else I can help you withā€¦ā€ question he asked after some good discussion and debate around healthcare, childcare, housing etc. He just laughed and said the teachers would be up in arms if it was moved to a Saturday

Will Mary Lou get re-elected?

Claire/Clare Daly confirmed to run in Dublin Central, no confirmation from Gerry Hutch yet.

Whatā€™s your analysis?

Itā€™s currently Paschal Donohoe, Mary Lou, Neasa Hartigan & Gary Gannon.

Could one of the big two be ousted or will it be one of the others? The Greens will be very vulnerable. Do we know whoā€™s running for FF there?

Neasa is the best politician in oireland

Heā€™s stalling because he knows if trump wins itā€™ll mean FG will clean house

The longer Simon Harris waits, the more Fine Gael will lose votes because their core vote will be in New York on Christmas shopping trips on the day of the election.

Will Pascal be OK after the giveaway budget? Gary Gannon has probably waffled and talked enough nonsense for the last few years to get back in.

Then youā€™re down to two seats, I wonder how much of the SF vote will go to the headbanger candidates which is why I think Mary Lou might be in trouble.

Mary Fitzpatrick of Fianna Fail has been plugging away in Dublin Central for years without ever getting in. I wouldnā€™t be surprised if she does it this time.

I think there will be an unexpected ā€œcoming to home to Fianna Failā€ vibe among voters once the campaign gets started.

Michael Martin, like soccer in Russia, is popular.
