Ireland v Bulgaria - Both sides are riddled and Useless

With a name like Billy Gilmour id say he was named after a Loyalist para.

People are always making fun of the poor ignorant farmers

I don’t know why he wouldn’t give Adam Rooney a run. He’s scored goals everywhere he’s been, he’s a thorough decent professional, and he’s better than what’s out there at the moment.

He’s playing in the fifth tier of English football for one.

He was too scorer at Aberdeen, left to be closer to home and for more money, Rory gaffney and himself were the top scoring partnership in the division at Salford but that uucoam Grahame Alexander decided he’d bring in dross upon dross, and like a lad with an account at primark, it didn’t matter that all his new coats were crap, he simply had to wear them til the next new one came in. He’d dropped the player of the year within 4 months, never to be seen again.
Rooney’s wages were such that only a team with a sugar daddy like Solihull could afford them, and he wanted to play, so off he went.
He’s scored wherever he’s been.

We might be rubbish but Adam Rooney? Slow as a wet week for one thing.

He can put the ball on target.
He’s no Lionel Messi, but get the ball into him and he’s got a knack of scoring.

Ah come here mate. You are on a wind up obviously.

He was fairly shite and didn’t score goals at a host of lower league English clubs before he went to Scotland. Nothing to suggest he’s better than what’s there or even the likes of Eoin Doyle

Top scorer at his last two clubs. Scotland have just qualified for the euros, and he was top scorer. In the top tier there.

He was top scorer there 5 years ago. Pat Hoban has more of a shout to be in the squad currently than Adam Rooney

Why did he go to Salford from Aberdeen at 27 or 28? Seems a very peculiar move.

If we can’t score in 7 games against pot 2-3 level opposition, we haven’t a prayer of qualification

Got a three year contract and was handier for getting home. Was top scorer at Salford and dropped for no particular reason.

Let’s not give up on Reece Grego-Cox, he’s only in the fourth tier of English football

That’s what usually happens alright. They probably did it just to spite themselves.
