Some talk that we might be reverting to three centre backs & wing backs with Troy & Szmodics more central behind Ferguson. Iām not convinced. I think Szmodicsā general play has been very good from his starting position on the left & heās been building up to a goal, which will come tonight.
Apparently he only played on the left once for Blackburn last season. Brian Kerr is adamant that he should be in a more central position. Iām not sure you get the best out of Troy by consequentially sticking him out on the wing though.

Looks like the same formation as the other night. 4-4-2 out of possession with Parrott pressing upfront with Ferguson. I still think Parrott is quite green & plays for himself a bit so itāll be interesting to see if he can be disciplined.
