Weāre more likely to end up with a Nathan Jones type.
Donāt stop believing.
Nowās not the time for hasty decisions. Trust Spock.
Give it Big Sam with Robbie Keane
A Dean Smith/JT combo is what Iād expect Johnny Hill to come up with.
Dela lumbered us with Spock
Dela was bullied by the media into giving us Spock.
Dela will be remembered for Trap and Martin OāNeill
Denis OāBrien gave us Trap and MON. And Paddy gave DOB nothing but abuse.
Spock out
550k yeah. Probably gets a loyalty bonus for not leaving for a Premier League club and bonuses for the all the tournaments weāve qualified for under his guidance.
DOB isnāt very popular anyway, whatever money he coughed up to help pay for Trap and MON is only a tiny fraction of the taxes he has avoided paying here.
Iāve said it before but Stephen Kenny is basically a souped up Pat Fenlon. Fenlon was unfortunate that Ger Gilroy and John Duggan didnāt have as much of a platform in 2006 or he may have been Republic of Ireland manager. Their records are almost identical except Fenlon didnāt get relegated from the SPL the season he reached a Scottish Cup Final. Heād have qualified automatically for the UEFA Cup group stages too if Shels Champions League run had come a year later. Fenlonās name wasnāt even in the conversation before Stan or Trap were appointed.
Fact,lads happy DOB throwing them a few crumbs from his table.All the while heās making out like a bandit with taxpayer money from government contracts.
Nathan Jones beat Pep Guardiola this season.
Nathan Jones please.
Could you please make a definitive list of those to blame for lumbering us with this absolute simpleton? Iāll kick it off.
Ger Gilroy, Joe Molloy & Off The Ball;
Ken Early & Second Captains;
Gavin Cooney & The 42;
Dan McDonnell, Mark McCadden, Neil OāRiordan & the domestic Irish football newspaper correspondent crew who posted screenshots of Spockās offbeat programme notes when he was managing in the LOI;
Kennyās Kids, Republic of Ireland Player Tracker & Twitter accounts of that ilk that clamoured for Kenny;
Richie Sadlier, Stephen Elliott & the āLOI friendlyā Irish based ex Irish players with very few caps who pilloried OāNeill & Trapattoni & campaigned for Spock;
Tony OāDonoghue;
Miguel Delaney;
Easily led members of the general public who rowed in behind this collection of eejits lambasting good managers & demanding Spock instead;
John Delaney under significant duress from all of the above.
Iād say we could find space for Mick/Mike McCarthy of Balls.ie and OTB fame. Iād imagine he riles a few posters on here and is certainly pro-Kenny.
Ken Early would be another one. Chris Sutton schooled him in a debate about two years ago when Early was attempting to criticise Martin Oā Neill. Edit: Iāve just noticed that heās mentioned above.
Eamonn Sweeney had a very positive opinion piece about Spock in the Indo last Sunday too.
I was trying to think of him but his name wouldnāt come to me. I thought it would be disrespectful to say the cross-eyed, speccy lad with the Sindo Sport column. Maybe those are reasons why he considered Spock the solution though.
They should beg o Neill to come back
Virgin Sport have basically been Spockās only consistent critics. Pity they had no Kerr on last night but Damian Delaney nonchalantly put the boot into Spockās credentials.
