Ireland v Luxembourg - the Piles Derby

Plus there were boycotts and offence taken at invitations and such chicanery. And then winners and hosts not having to qualify on occasion.

Iā€™m confident tonight. 4-0 to Ireland. Great team too.

Correct. Didnā€™t the USSR refuse to go to Chile in 1962 in protest at some US-backed coup, or something?

Kenny Cunningham talking a lot of sense here.

Uruguay didnā€™t defend their title in 1934 cos they were in a huff that so few European teams went to their one in 1930

I hope Alan Browne really expresses himself tonight

As @Elvis_Brandenberg_Kr has said lots of present day nations didnā€™t exist back in the 1930ā€™s. Iā€™d presume as well that there was only a handful that competed in the qualifying stages for the inaugural World Cup in 1930 in Uruguay as a lot of the places for the finals proper were allocated by invitation.

nil all iā€™d say - they arenā€™t as bad as they used to be and weā€™re shit

Ferrycarrig Park is in Wexford George.

Weā€™ll just about get a win. Weā€™ll bundle one in.

I think we will earn whatever we get. I hope Kenny gets a comfortable win to take a bit of pressure off

Iā€™m happy he dropped Travers and excited to see Bazunu but really he should have gone with Oā€™Hara.

isnā€™t that a desperate way to be thinking about a match against Luxembourg. I agree with you

I think weā€™re all feeling that pressure.

The Martins brothers are not related

I donā€™t think Knight is a holding midfielder. Should be further forward

Whose doing co-commentary there?
