Looking forward to bringing my lads to their first ever senior Ireland match later. Important to give them some friendly experience before throwing them into a competitive fixture. @Gman is Moylan the first Wexford FC League of Ireland alumni/alumnus to play for Ireland MNT? Not counting those old youth teams with Kevin Doyle in them but the actual LOI team.

This is a dangerous game, and I don’t mean dangerous in the sense for Ireland might not get a good result against the crack Qataris.
It’s dangerous in that it could put your young lads off for life.
I’ve already refused the offer of a free ticket for this game. I’d probably have refused it if I was paid the face value of the ticket to attend.
Your first Ireland game should be one that has hooking potential. My first international to attend and indeed my first time in Lansdowne Road was Ireland beating Brazil 1-0 when Liam Brady scored. I made me communion that morning. I was indeed instantly hooked.
However this was a dangerous game in a different way for me oul’ fella. It resulted in years of hassle for him trying to source tickets for me to go to Lansdowne Road, culminating in him paying 60 punts on the black market to get me a ticket for Ireland v Spain at Lansdowne Road in 1993, a match he did not attend and where 10% of the crowd had left after half an hour. “Ahm dahn you a fayvah, mate”, said the Cockney ticket tout outside Jury’s hotel who told me oul’ me oul fella that he’d sell it for 70, before coming down to 60.
Are you trying to put your young lads off being interested because you don’t want the hassle of years of sourcing tickets, and tickets together, for them?
He could just buy season tickets with the money he’s going to save being able to change his own tires.

Trying to bring the old Dela feel good factor back, we’ll be qualifying for tournaments (by default or not) in no time again.
The funny thing is these whipping boys/sacrificial lambs have a higher world ranking than us 
A chance to see Jaden Umeh make his first start should be enough to draw anyone into this tie.
