Martin O’Neill will be announcing his squad for this game in Limerick shortly and Limerick FC are hosting an event with him tonight too.
I won’t be attending this critical friendly encounter due to a prior arrangement.

Can you post details of this prior arrangement please @Bandage? I’m concerned that you’re shifting sport downwards in your list of life’s priorities.
This is a longstanding “date in the diary” with my great pal, @ClarkeyCat.
We’re heading to The Olympia to see CHVRCHES and listen to the sweet voice of the beautiful Lauren Mayberry.
I didn’t know Ireland were playing on 5th March when I booked tickets last September or October.
International matches on Ash Wednesday
I’m disappointed

That’s fair enough.
Robbie rested.
No place for Given or Ireland. Was this ever realistically going to happen?
David Meyler and Daryl Murphy recalled.
It’s an initial 29-man squad.
Who gives a fuck bar a few simpelton’s on here, Twickers is where it is at lads.
Hope everything’s going well for you and you’ll have a few bets for the weekend for us, pal.

I’d like to see Meyler start.
Can’t we all just get along mate, Ireland abú.
So you can watch a match where you haven’t a notion what’s going on?
Signing in. Looking forward to seeing the new look outfit
According to my Twitter feed today, Martin O’Neill was offered Falcao for €7m in 2009 but went for Emile Heskey instead. Can anybody confirm or deny this? @Il Bomber Destro ? @croppy ?
I can confirm that this is true horsebox. To be fair to O’Neill he was more interested in sneaking off to Leeds at the time as I exclusively revealed previously via my source in Wikipedia .
He also insisted that rivaldo do a trial before joining (which he naturally refused) if my recollection is correct.
Has Roy Keane turned up, he doesn’t normally go to Ireland friendlies…
I heard that Falcao was too young and wanted too little money, is that true?
Probably, mate-let’s go with it anyway.
U-21s off to a good start against Montenegro.

Did you go along?
Nah. Too lazy. I’m still in my dressing gown here. I’d go to see the U-17s play Austria in Malahide tomorrow but I’ve an appointment at the dole office at 2:30.
