The football Ireland play is horrific and has been since the day he arrived. However he did qualify us for a tournament so I’ll cut him some slack for that. Obviously the time to go was last summer and we have steadily got worse since. Too many arguments with players, reluctance to change etc.

Looking forward to seeing some champagne football from the blues versus Pats tomorrow night.

The main thing saying that Trap had to stay loyal to the players that got him to the euro’s bullshit, you pick your best players on the day for the job, he didn’t do that in the Euro’s. Also saying he brought the young lads into the team e.g Coleman, McCarthy, he did about a year later, when the whole fucking country knew they should be there anyway.

The reason Coleman didn’t play in the euros is because he had not been played at right back by Everton that season and so untested while John O’ Shea was a reliable choice. McCarthy hides from the ball when on the pitch, moving away from it most of the time. McClean has been proven to be pretty poor. Gibson decided not to play for Ireland anymore like the nordie cunt he is. Brady was also right re Hoolahan not being a central midfielder. He is a decent no 10 who finds it hard to get into the Norwich team and anyway who would you drop for him? Keane is our only goalscoring threat and he can’t play as a target man so he needs Long beside him.
