Ireland v Switzerland - Euro 2020 Qualifier

Is it top two go through automatically? Does third get a play off?

Maybe our old friends in Georgia could do us a favour. They’ve the Danes in Georgia Sunday

They mugged off the sweaty socks for us a few years back

Highly unlikely, the Danes put 4 or 5 past them in their first match.

There’s been 8 1 all draws in our last 45 internationals

Congrats @the_man_himself. Commiserations @anon32894817

Ah they are hopeless away from home sure

It’s the sign of a really brilliant football team. We play possum and conserve energy until we need to strike.

I enjoyed that game tonight. The Bacardi was a good shout.

Blinded by the man-yoo glasses :eyeglasses:

Ditto here tonight

Exact same 2 years ago also for McCleans winning goal in Cardiff

I never thought of using Irish soccer to put the baby to sleep. Not a bad plan

Great result but mcclean for another year the negative.

James McClean has been a better servant to Ireland than Roy Keane.

Money for jam

That’s not fucking hard in fairness.

Keep VAR out of football.

That equaliser would have been chalked off for a push if they looked at it. Swiss didn’t even appeal, bizarrely.

Top two through. There are playoffs then for Nations League teams. Despite our dreadful performance in that tournament we are likely to get a playoff spot from the Nations League. But it’s a semi-final (1 leg) and final so it’s 2 ties we would have to negotiate.

McClean is valuable in those kind of games in fairness. Shouldn’t be let near a game against a minnow though
