We’re always going to concede more goals under Kenny because of the open style of football we play. By default we aren’t as tight at the back as we were under Trap, Mick or O’Neill, as we play it out from the back.
We can play pretty football and concede more goals, or keep it tight, ugly to watch but be more competitive.
Hourihane can’t run or tackle.
He can deliver a good ball, has a good left leg.
But, at the base of a midfield, versus counter-attacks? Terrifying.
Push him on to a 10 at this point.

I thought we played fairly well against Scotland but we’ve been dire tonight. The lack of tempo is awful.
A late winner for Eire would set Irish football back a decade. Tense times.

Scotland came at us and we played accordingly. We’re better against teams that come out.

Any little set back in any game and we collapse. It has been a feature of his reign.
He can’t pick a team. He can’t make subs. He can play whatever style he likes but the most important thing is to pick the right team and he can’t do it.
He’s out of his depth regardless of any style.
I don’t think we have the players to break down a low block, full stop.
Still think that from a 2-0 position, that should be perfect for a Kenny side.
