Probably that inverted diamond with Brady at the top of it, Meyler at the base and one out and out wide player in McClean.

This is the way we used to set up with Walters on the right.

I think we’ll tilt the diamond the other way with McClean wide left.

Brady at the top of it but a bit to the right. Hendrick shuttling up and down at the right of the diamond ala Marchisio, Arter more disciplined and starting on the left side of it but narrow and Meyler sitting.

I didn’t have the sweets to set it up with the diamond going the other way and the winger on the left rather than right.

We’re adaptable though as McClean has played from the right wing cutting in at times in the last 2 years.

Should just start Wes and go for it in first half,bring Arter on second half.I don’t want to see Wes coming on now because it will only happen if we go behind or are still scoreless with 20 minutes to go.

I would have started Hoolahan but bringing him on at 0-0 worked alright in Lille!

Dan McDonnell or Ken Early made the point that we’ve played 25 minutes against 10 men in both the Serbia and Wales home games and weren’t able to break them down. Hoolahan was injured against Wales and had been subbed off against Serbia. It might work out to have him to come on when the game opens up.
