Definitely has the physique of a stereotypical Italian full back - around six feet, can get up and down the flank all day, loves the overlap and a very solid defender.
The defensive side of his game has came on leaps and bounds in the past 4/5 years. Big Mick deserves great credit in converting Ward from a striker to a full back over the years. A pity it hadn’t be done earlier.
