A shite Irish team went to Wales and against all odds did the business. An inverse of the Irish rugby team.
Iād like to see OāNeill get rid of Roy Keane now before the play-off.
They didnāt really fill their togs . They are average enough . The centre back really fucked up for the goal though . Ireland deserved that . Wales best player on the field looked a bit distant .
I still think Ireland have a lot to do TBH .
I fully expected us to beat Wales, who are shit anyway, and didnāt have bale. I canāt understand the fuss.
Doubt it. Isnāt it mostly social welfare types who travel around following the Eire soccer team?
What was the price tonight . Fwiw I thought we would draw tonight .
Nothing wrong with it if thats whats needed.
Where are Wales now with all their passing.
I think we could pass more. But i actually also think there are team we ohysically left off the hook by not battering them like tonight.
Myler set the tone like a real captain should.
Its actually unbelievable he has risen to captain Ireland.
Ireland need a strong Cork man at the healm
Absolutely brainless to pick up that booking in the last minute.
Adrenalin got the better of him.
PP had pushed Ireland out to 29/10 just before kickoff
That was real good value TBH .
An inspired call from MON.
But, no way could anyone have foreseen it.
its like the night they beat the Italian subs
Look at the team Ireland had out. Wales are no great shakes but would appear to have a better team on paper. I thought weād be beaten.
That pic brought a tear to my eye
Bit of perspective. Ireland rugby team won a Grand Slam in Cardiff in 2009.
Eire won a game tonight to finish 2nd to get into a play off which they have to win to even qualify for a World Cup.
We donāt often win away from home under intense pressure against a more fancied opponent. They gamed the system to become first seeds but still itās a very very very good achievement to win there in the decisive game. They were without Bale but we were without Coleman and Walters. Youād have to be quite the contrarian to downplay it.
