Ireland's greatest songstress

All the talk of Dolores Keane and others in the Tonights TV got me thinking about this.

I am quite partial to a bit of Mary Black as the auld lad is a huge fan and would always have a tape of hers going in the car when we were youngsters

Leslie Dowdall.

Mary O Hara

Saw a poster in Colliers Butchers in Howth this morning advertising an upcoming Leslie Dowdall gig

Philomena Begley and of course, my old flame, Cara Dillon.

Will you be attending same, @Fagan ODowd ?

Delia Murphy

No.

I was at the NCH tonight for Printer Clips, a new album from Paul Noonan of Bell X1 featuring a selection if duets with female artists. All very chilled. Anyway the concert featured Gemma Hayes and Lisa Hannigan - both of whom are rather lovely.

Cara with a heart-rending version of Mairead Farrell here.
