First thing you need to do is get her a hurl that’s correct for her size. The single biggest issue I see is kids arriving with hurls that are too long and that they struggle to swing comfortably.

I did the hope measure when I bought it 
She has a pink mouth guard, helmet and tape on the hurl.
She wanted the pink Dublin Jersey but that’s not happening

how old is she @artfoley? If she is holding the hurl the wrong way around, then dump that for a while. Use a 14" long mini hurl, only hold it one handed and get her used to having the grip right with that hand at the top. Mark where the thumb goes so then it will be facing the right way too. Get a bean ban bag for balancing and let her start off that way. It’ll be a much easier progression into the proper sized hurl then.

Mini hurls are great.
And going back to them even down the road can be great for skill development.
Far too much of a rush to make adult hurlers out of kids. It shouldn’t even be called hurling below 7

She’s 6 1/2 gman. She’s playing up in cuala (anyone up there be able to get a mini hurl?) and she has a 20" hurl at the mo. she actually has a half decent strike on her.
I wouldnt be worrying about the strike to be honest, I’d be more about making sure she is comfortable holding it. All the striking and hitting will come in time. As kev says, sometimes we can be too quick to make them hurlers and the kids themselves get frustrated because they dont have the coordination yet to be able to hit the ball, so they end up hitting it any way possible, even if it is wrong grips or hockey style swings. Small steps are needed.
Offer of sending you on the hurl is there tho if you want.

nah, its all very restrained ground hurling but when the ball goes near one of the other girls ankles id be a bit fearful.
