Ireland's most detestable politican

Eamon Ryan

I’d say Dev was a right aul bollix too

Not true. As bad as haughey was, he introduced free travel for @anon67715551 and @balbec and sorted out a decent tax break for feckless artist types. And some say he masterminded the ifsc.

His buddy Dermot Desmond masterminded the IFSC and of course benefited handsomely from the tax breaks. I wonder did Charlie ever benefit in anyway

Phil Hogan. Charlie Flanagan. That prick from Mayo whose name escapes me. John O’Donoghue. Bertie. Charlie.
Danny Healy Rae is more a buffoon than despicable. Says a lot about the sneaky Kerry folk who vote him in though…

I see Bertie Ahern was wheeled out to give a comment on Jean Kennedy Smith yesterday. Can’t stand the sight of him.

The Healy raes get shit done

Mattie McGrath.

The rooral types love a glorified county councillor like Mattie, Lowry, O’Donnell and the Healy Rae’s to “put it up to the Dublin crowd”

“Ah shur dey ficksed d’roads”

True enough but every rural constituency should elect one .

Say what you want about the Healy Rea’s - they get things done.

The Cork - Limerick motorway would have been built years ago if they had been born a few miles down the road.

Never a truer saying than all politics is local. Once the son and daughter get the college grant, the planning permission for the house and the local club gets a few quid in grants then all is good. 99.9% of people don’t particularly give a shit about Brexit etc.

So did Hitler, Trump and Thatcher.

If you’re going to make such a ludicrous comparison there’s no real point in debating with you further.

The point of the thread of that the individual is ‘detestable’.

Trying to defend them because they ‘got things done’ is utterly ludicrous.

You have to remember you’re dealing with an absolute simpleton there.
