Ronnie McFall has resigned as manager of Portadown after 29 years in the job after their 3-2 Irish Cup quarter-final defeat at home to Lurgan Celtic today.

McFall was Europe’s longest serving manager by a decade - that distinction now passes to the great Arsene Wenger (The Arsenal).

I’ll be throwing the full weight of my e-support behind Lurgan Celtic for the famous old trophy now after Cliftonville were dumped out 3-0 at home by Linfield.

It’s a massive day in the Smirnoff Irish League, the final day of the season in fact.

Linfield lead Crusaders by 2 points at the top of the table and have a far superior goal difference.

Crusaders must beat Glenavon and hope Linfield lose at Cliftonville.

Current scorelines are:
Crusaders 2 Glenavon 0
Cliftonville 1 Linfield 0

Tommy Breslin is back as Cliftonville manager and they’re giving Linfield plenty of it.

The title is on course to go to Seaview.

Oh no. Linfield have scored twice in the first five minutes of the second half.

Big win for Cliftonville over Linfield at Windsor Park last night in the quarter-final of the Bass Irish Cup.

The Reds now face Loughgall in the semi-final on March 31st. I’m sure the great Jim Lynagh will be looking down and kicking every ball with Barry Gray’s men that day.

Coleraine face Larne in the other semi.

Cliftonville’s 39 year wait for an Irish Cup looks set to continue. They’re 2-1 down to Coleraine after 84 minutes of Irish football’s showpiece occasion.

Live on BBC2 now.

GGA player wins it .

Eoin Bradley of Derry GAA fame clinches it for Coleraine in a breakaway in the final minute of injury time. Salah-esque finish.

Cliftonville had no ideas in the last 10 minutes beyond hoofing it up.

There was some protest by cliftonville beforehand apparently?

Over the british national anthem being played…

Windsor Park is a fine looking stadium now. Shame about all the empty seats at the big Belfast derby though.

Big David Jeffrey is doing some job at Balllymena United.

Cliftonville looking for their first Irish Cup since 1979 here in front of the biggest Cup final crowd since 1979.

And it’s 1-1 and all Cliftonville with 10 minutes left.

Cliftonville’s time is now. They are utterly dominant. They need to score a winner and silence these Linfield cunts.

Extra time to follow in front of 14k at Windsor Park. Here’s Cliftonville’s equaliser and what a lovely goal it was.

Some tension here as Linfield have a free kick just outside the box very late on.

Over the bar!

Into injury time in extra time now.

FIVE minutes to be added! Fix!
