When was the last time an incumbent President received such a poor mandate. Was it
de Valera in 1966 with 50.5% from a much larger turn out.
I wasnât much of a Sean Gallagher fan but ffs. He was well ahead in the polls and RTĂ ambushed him on live tv with unverified and false information. It was as disgraceful as it comes in any western democracy.
