Bizarre that he’s favouring an unattached player who’s nearly 30 (Cyrus Christie) over an up and coming RWB who’s earned himself a move to Serie A. There’s no real rhyme or reason to a lot of Steo’s calls. Hopefully Obafemi starts.

Ireland started with 2 premier league players last Wednesday, 1 a sub with Liverpool and the other a sub with Brighton yet fellas think Bielsa will take the job. John Giles said it on the radio that the present team is the worst group of Irish players ever and he is 100% right. Fella here on about Jack Byrne who is ruled out of this camp through injury. Jamie McGrath cannot make the Wigan squad. Do a bit of research.

Well that’s wildly inaccurate to suit your agenda. In the last 6 weeks he’s started 6 out of 7 games for Rovers. He wasn’t put in the standby squad because he was injured. He was put there because Kenny didn’t pick him. Which would be fine if he didn’t want to play a creative possession game. Or if he had alternative playmakers. Or if he just simply doesn’t rate him at all. But he appears to be just guessing and gambling on a different selection each time.
