His first start in Serie A as a young lad, Iâd be stunned if he didnât seize up. Probably told to run the bollocks off himself too.

Just read Stephen Kennyâs comments about Shane Duffy and Matt Doherty in the Sunday Times, Kenny is a bit disrespectful.
Basically said Duffy failed to oust Championship centrebacks and was going badly the rare occasion he has played. Doherty is a fat arse who needed Conteâs fitness regime and will get no games. He also said Simeone probably knew nothing about him. Duffy might not be in the next squad, sounds like he is done with Ireland.
Duffy has been a warrior for Ireland to me.

I think Duffy pulled out of a squad a while back despite not being injured. Iâd say he was pissed off at being cast aside and being left on the bench in previous games.
Only 31 too. I had a heavy heart dropping him from my 2026 World Cup squad on Football Manager.
