I’d go the opposite. The mother is obviously terrified. I’d say it’s more a question of when than if. The fact that this kid will be released with no significant support structures means it’s almost impossible not to happen(someone getting attacked.). Where will she sleep and get food and what will she do all day? I’d say she is in danger and so are people that she will come into contact with.
I’ve no doubt she’s dangerous if released into the community but the odds of that happening are tiny, they seem to be exploring the options n the courts in that article, sensationalist journalism

I think this in the news again because there have been further developments and discussion around which prison the person should be housed in.

You cant put someone with a penis, threatening to rape, into a woman’s prison…
You cant put someone with breasts and dresses like a woman, into a men’s prison.
A psych ward is probably the right place for this poor misfortune.

I’d have to agree. I don’t think the chance of him/her hurting someone are tiny at all. I’d say it’s a matter of when.
If anybody is hurt it will be in an institution of some sort, my point all along is that this person will not be released into the community in that state of mind, the headline of that article makes it sound like we all need to be in fear of this person which is pure scaremongering. It doesn’t mean it’s alright if they remain a danger behind locked doors but it changes things significantly.

There just isn’t the places or resources. The family in dun laoghaire were begging them to put him away. Ironically the kid in the current case would likely get a lot more resources.
It sounds to me like they don’t have any choice if she demands to leave.
Jesus the background to that story is horrific. I know its Mcguirks crank website but this story is shocking if details are true. I’d love to know the fate of the father. Should be strung up.
