Is it time for martial law in limerick

specifically in Moyross, Southill and Ballinacurra Weston. The cops and the dogs on the street know who’s behind all of this so maybe just confining the cunts to those areas and let them kill each other rather than innocents like shane geoghegan and roy collins

This latest killing is the final straw. If they don’t do something soon its vigilanties that will sort it.

There pretty much is martial law already, Art. The ERU are always on patrol. This state doesn’t want to solve the problem because the liberal agenda still holds sway.

That lad that they killed yesterday was the brother of some fellow who testified against one of the gangsters?
A very sinister development

I’m quite pro people’s rights usually but they should just round up the fuckers and throw them in jail. They are a bunch of scumbag drug dealing crims

Down with the liberals on this SS
Enough is enough surely

I haven’t heard anything about this latest development? Was there another bystander killed?

Ah jesus Dunph, your from Limerick???
It was all over the papers and news for the last 24 hours.

Or are you suggesting he wasn’t totally innocent?

Not a bystander at all but a lad running his own business.
His brother testified against one of the scumbags and he has been killed as a result. This lad had no involvement with these crims at all

"Garda in Limerick are still questioning two men over the murder yesterday of 35-year-old father of two Roy Collins at a pub in the city.

A massive murder investigation is under way and garda are investigating if the murder may be linked to threats made against his family four years ago when his cousin gave evidence in court against a leading McCarthy-Dundon gang member.

Two men, aged 19 and 22, are being questioned about the murder. One of the men is a key suspect in the investigation into the mistaken identity murder of rugby player Shane Geoghegan in Limerick last November.

Mr Collinss family had been issued with gangland threats in the past and garda are investigating if those threats are linked to yesterdays murder.

Mr Collins was a cousin of Limerick man Ryan Lee. Mr Lee was working as barman in Brannigans pub, Mulgrave Street, Limerick, on December 19th, 2004, when he refused to serve alcohol to a 14-year-old girl.

The childs brother, gangland figure Wayne Dundon, was with her at the time. Dundon made a shape of a gun with his hand and pushed it against Mr Lees face, saying f*** you, youre dead.

Less than 30 minutes later a man wearing a helmet entered Brannigans pub armed with a sawn-off shotgun. He singled out Mr Lee and shot him twice in the knee and hip.

Wayne Dundon (31), Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, was later sentenced to 10 years for threatening Mr Lee, although nobody was ever convicted of shooting the 19-year-old barman. His sentence was later reduced to seven years.

While Mr Lee is a cousin of yesterdays murder victim Roy Collins, they were reared as brothers. Mr Collinss father, Steve Collins, is Mr Lees legal guardian.

The Collins family own Brannigans pub where Mr Lee was shot"

It’s a pity these gangs can’t be proscribed as illegal organisations and every one of these rodents can’t then be charged with membership of an illegal organisation and banged up ad infinitum. War should be declared on these scumbags.

Once again take a bow Willie O’Dea, the man who endorsed racketeering in Limerick 15 years ago with his ‘peace talks’. Thin edge of the wedge, Willie.

They’ve really shot themselves in the foot this time, this one will be the final straw.

I remember that, Wayne Dundon had his human rights infringed so had his sentence reduced. We couldn’t have that.

Totally agree, dealing with these scumbags is not the way to go, they then believe they having a standing in society.
They are no better or worse than the guys who killed the Brittish soldiers last month.
Arrest them for being members of gangs. Before those gangs become gangs like they have in the states, as in huge and uncontrolable.

I think you’re being naive, Dunph. Wasn’t the firebombing of two kids in a parked car supposed to be the final straw some years ago?

and the shhoting dead of an innocent man last november was supposed to be the final straw aswell

Drove through Roxboro a while ago. The Gardai are on all roads stopping all cars and asking the drivers if they were in the area yesterday.

There have been enough final straws in Limerick to thatch a small cottage. Lets not forget we now have explosive devices becoming the norm in Limerick these days. Still you’ll hear mouth pieces for the Chamber of Commerce (whose only agenda is trade coming into the city) that “we’re no worse than any other city”. Get real Willie O’Dea et al. If you had faced this problem instead of burying your head in the sand something could have been done.

What are Willies qualifications/ backround etc. He seems like a thick fucker to me, maybe i’m doing him an injustice. But i’ve seen and heard local councillers making far more sense than that man.

Willie was a barrister for years i believe.

Sweet Jesus.
