Only 22 in limerick. Thatâs whatâs happened in Italy theyâve Been overwhelmed
Tis only spuds mate. Itâs not complicated.
Weâll have loads of ventilators apparently, we make a huge amount of the Worlds supply in the country.
The head of the ICUâs for ireland said he wasnât worried about ventilators, but he said weâve no one to work them and it takes years to learn
No one in ALSAA
One nurse needed for every ventilator.
Will the chinese medics start deploying around the world now I wonder
Fixed for you
Nurses can share those
Please God they will. They sent a crew to Italy anyway
Im putting on 28 Days Later now.
Would she/he be working a 24 hour shift 7 days a week?
12hrs on, 12 off generally here anyway, I think itâs four or six day tours depending.
So when the nurse is on the 12 hours off, what happens the ventilator?
The next nurse on takes over
So more than one nurse per ventilator then?
One working nurse to be exact so, they canât go 24/7. I presume they canât cover a number of patients on ventilators either
Fair enough so. You need more than one nurse per ventilator. Figure Iâd been told was actually at least 5 trained (for ventilator) nurses plus at least one doctor
I was in mine yesterday and today. Thatâll be the last visits for a while Iâd say.
I wouldnât dispute that either, one working nurse is what I read so
@TheBird might know the ratio
I donât know. Not my wans specialty. I met an ICU nurse last week. She told me the number of ventilators they have inside in limerick, shocking, she also told me even if she gets the virus sheâll have to work because of lack of skills.
