Apparently it was DEI that caused the crash according to the first person to comment on the Journal tweet.
“DEI and no doubt a run down in those employed to operate it. No accidents with this since 1914 so a massive coincidence.”

They were saying on the BBC earlier that they service the tram every four years and the last service was 2022. You’d think they’d service them more regularly.

That poor lady killed out running by the tree falling in didsbury. Often run down there. There’s hundreds of flowers out. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. Massive branch off a tree in some other poor person’s garden overhanging the pavement. It makes me feel ill.
It could be the beginning of the end for leafy Didsbury.
Happened upon the immediate aftermath of this accident yesterday at Mount Street bridge on our club 20 mile DCM training run. Thankfully no serious injuries reported, but there was considerable damage to both vehicles. Side windows of the bus were shattered & a right chunk out of the front of the fire engine.
I was headed to work along the usual road today and around the corner of the cucumber frame, who should I meet, but a full road block and bomb squad. Apparently they found an unexploded ww2 bomb*** out the back of mark Hughes house (across the road from Michael Carrick’s old gaffe). I’ve travelled that road thousands of times.
I could also put mark Hughes and assorted neighbours in the people who must be shitting themselves thread.

Owner in the gym this morning told me that his young fella had to run for cover from the shootings on Bondi Beach over the weekend.
He woke up to a text from him Sunday morning. His wife was in an awful way.
It turns out that the same lad was in close proximity to the stabbings that occurred in April 2024 in Sydney as well.
Final Destination stuff, wide berth of that lad should be maintained.
