Divisions in DUP aplenty. DUP big-hitters concerned about Stormont deal - BBC News
It was a win no matter what way it went…but the dup blocking it might have been useful going into an election. The only way they could have taken a hit was if they’d agreed to some watered down affair with ulster Scots in the mix…
The Stoops were the big losers here. Their politicising of it backfired badly.
Shows that SF have more clout in Westminister by not taking their seats than The Stoops do by taking theirs. The Stoops should have either kept the head down or supported SF on the ILA.
As we all know Stormont is not designed to work, it won’t work with unionists blocking any sort of progressive move or anything that brings it away from a Protestant state for Protestant people so when the SDLP try and posture themselves as a party who could achieve these things regardless of the circumstance, it shows that you are not being in anyway honest with the electorate and people up here know they have not got a backbone to face down unionism.
Birdshit beard was completely outflanked by Big Mary Lou. Bad faith by Eastwood to try to pitch the DUP blocking the implementation of a previously agreed deal as the DUP AND SF being at it again. He was settling in for a period of pontificating but job done now and he looks like a idiot while the DUP continue to implode.
So the DUP might now collapse the Assembly on the basis of them not enforcing something they agreed to enact.
It’s fascinating to see Sinn Fein being bailed out by the British Government and their supporters cheerleading that British Government intervention.
It’s almost like they’re complete hypocrites!
Paul Givan and Michelle O’Neill have now been appointed First Minister and Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland
It’s lovely watching the crisis Unionism is in.
DUP MPs and MLAs voted 24-4 against nominating a first minister.
Givan apparently voted against nominating a first minister then accepted the nomination.
Clearly arlene foster was a genius
The DUP are threatening a return to direct rule because they’re not happy with a decision of direct rule.
Over a piece of legislation being enforced that they agreed to but don’t want tot enforce.
That’s unionism my friends.
This is all quite entertaining.
Lowry is seething.
Seething
Alliance without a shred of doubt
Jacob Rees Mogg showing his Fenian teeth in the Commons today in response to Jim Shannen’s crying foul. Her majesty’s government means what it says and does what it promises etc.
Maith an fearr Moggy
I must listen to Nolan tomorrow. No doubt Ben will be on and Jim and even possibly Jamie.
It’ll be a wonderful morning’s entertainment. Listening to Ben Lowry whinge and cry is good for the soul.
