Lads here were posting about a snooker tournament in China at 7am yesterday morning. It’s still July. I love snooker but this situation is tragic.
This coming weekend used to be All-Ireland football quarter-finals weekend.
Mark Twain once said “the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco”. He might as well have been talking about Ireland from the last week in July onwards.
Mark Twain apparently actually never said this, but no matter. He was right.
There’s literally nothing of interest happening this weekend outside of Australia, where it’s their winter.
It’s going to be a very long run in to the World Athletics Championship.
Is the Horse Show coming up soon? Cricket. That’s where it’s at. The cricket. Is there cricket this weekend? Please say there is.
