Letās not let facts get in the way, here.
Have you not said in numerous instances that Boriniās poor performances were due to the fact he was playing wide and that wasnāt his position?
Yes and he has gradually improved as he has learned that new position, his passing, touch and strength have now vastly improved with time. He is still much more comfortable through the middle (and a bigger goal threat), but playing on the wing seems to be making a more rounded player and a better player.
Same XI that started against Newcastle last weekend. Cattermole is back on the bench but no Scocco today. Fletcher still injured.
Terrible pass from Bardsley puts Long through on goal and Wes Brown commits a cynical foul and is rightly sent off for the third time this season. Stupid decision to make the challenge at this stage of the game. It will be interesting to see who Gus will sacrifice.
Borini subbed to bring on another centre half:oops:
Obviously Bardsley made a horrible mistake that put Brown in an awful position but how fucking retarded was he to go and make that challeneg in the first 5 minutes of the game, especially when it was headless chicken like Shane Long going through. Heās probably suspended for the final now given that he has been sent off three times this season.
Now itās 1-0.
Thatās that game over.
Fucking Wes Brown.
This game is over, Hull will score a couple more - Sunderland havenāt even created anything since going down to 10 men while Hull really should have had a second by now.
It would have made much more sense to withdraw Ki or Johnson than Borini, both have been utter passengers since we went down to 10 men.
Game over.
Hope thatās the last game Wes Brown plays for us.
If only Gus could tell the future
He should have foreseen this, the one thing Borini guarantees is that he will press the opponent and run himself into the ground. Ki and Johnson donāt and we never looked like scoring.
Wes Brown has to take the blame for that defeat.
Surprised to see Gustavo has opted to rest quite a few players today. No Mannone, Bardlsey, Brown, Alonso, Colback, Ki, Bridcutt or Johnson today. Pretty much a second string team with the exception of OāShea and Borini.
Big chance for Giaccherini and Scocco to make a strong case for getting back into the side.
4-4-2 with Borini up front today so a good chance for him to show his scoring instincts.
Craig Gardener is an abomination of a footballer.
Ian Darke keeps confusing Borini and Gardener.
Borini has been very good so far.
Cattermole with three Cruyff turns near his own corner flag.
Seb Larsson is terrible.
Pure dirt from Steven Davis on Borini there.
